Last Saturday, the 6th Annual Interfaith World Peace Pilgrimage to Mt. Baldy took place. This is a non-profit, non-political, non-commercial event organized yearly by The Aetherius Society American Headquarters. It is an interfaith gathering of representatives and leaders of many different faiths joining together in Ceremony on a Holy Mountain for World Peace. Dozens of faiths are represented each year, with more Ceremony leaders this year than ever before, and usually an average of 200 peace pilgrims.Through our diverse faiths and practices that have, in many cases, been handed down by great Spiritual Masters and Teachers for hundreds and even thousands of years, we were able to demonstrate not was separates us but what unites us – as one human family co-inhabiting this precious Mother Earth, our home in the vast and mighty Cosmos.
The Cosmic Master Mars Sector 6 repeatedly points out how well organized are the darker (non-spiritual) forces of the world with their plots and schemes, and how lacking the forces of Light are in this respect. He constantly urges cooperation among forces of Light. Similarly, the Masters have urged the pilgrims to come to these holy mountains, given to humanity for our use, to radiate their power.
The World Peace Pilgrimage is a shining example of this greater spiritual cooperation: all faiths uniting, organized and cooperating for World Peace. It is an amazing, beautiful and truly magical event which just seems to become more powerful and intense with each passing year. This year several pilgrims commented on it being literally a life-changing experience.
Last Saturday, about 165 peace pilgrims stood as testament that no matter what our religious faith – or even lack of any particular faith – we choose to live together in a peaceful world of mutual cooperation, love and support; offering our collective devotion to the One Creative Force behind All Things.
Ceremonies at the World Peace Pilgrimage take place at three different locations on the mountain to accommodate for different hiking abilities. Level 3, the upper location, is beside the Charged Spot where Dr. George King stood to act as the channel for the initial Cosmic Charging of the mountain on August 9th, 1959, thus making it Holy. This location is about a two-hour hike from the top of the ski-lift, and is at an altitude of about 9,500 ft. It provides breathtaking views which, combined with the Energies of the Mountain and all the various participating faiths, is truly inspiring and gives hope to our troubled world…
